UNC Charlotte Student Legal Services (SLS) is participating in the 2026 NC Legal Feeding Frenzy in the fight against hunger for the entire month of March 2026. This is organized by the North Carolina Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division.
What is the Legal Feeding Frenzy?
The Legal Feeding Frenzy is a food donation drive that will begin on March 1st through March 31st, 2026.
How can you help?
We are asking for your help by joining us in donating throughout the month of March 2026. You can either make a monetary donation, physical donation, or both. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps provide food to those who need it.
Read below for instructions on how you can make a monetary or physical donation.
Monetary Donations
Donations of money are especially best! Every dollar donated equals 4 pounds of food.
- You can make an online donation by following the steps below:
- Visit Legal Feeding Frenzy
- Click the “Donate” tab.
- Enter your gift amount and your information. In the “Additional Information” section of the donation page, please designate “Team UNC Charlotte Student Legal Services, Inc” to ensure your contribution is counted toward our total.
Physical Food Donations
- You can make a physical donation by dropping off non-perishable foods at our office. Our office is located in the Popp Martin Student Union in room 126.
- Cannot include perishables, candy, or glass containers.
Here are the lists of food items that are most needed:
- Canned Fish or Meat
- Peanut Butter
- Canned Low-Sodium Soups or Stews
- Canned or Dry Beans
- Canned Fruits in Juice
- Canned Low-Sodium Vegetables

UNC Charlotte Student Legal Services is proud to participate in the NC Legal Feeding Frenzy. SLS does not retain any portion of donations. All funds and food items are delivered directly to Feeding the Carolinas food banks.
