Legal Advice, Resources, and Referrals

Student Legal Services (SLS) offers legal advice, information, resources, and referrals for students in several areas of North Carolina law including, but not limited to:

Landlord-Tenant
Criminal Record Expunctions
Misdemeanor alcohol/substance charges
Basic Child Custody Filings
Domestic Violence and No-Contact Orders
Basic Estate Planning
Simple Divorce Filings
Educational Presentations

SLS is available upon request to present to student organizations and academic classes to educate students on their legal rights and responsibilities under North Carolina law. SLS will work with student groups to tailor a presentation to their needs. Please contact SLS to request a presentation on an area of law of your group's interest.
