Amber Creft
Position Title
Staff Attorney
Attorney Amber Creft started as a Staff Attorney with UNC Charlotte Student Legal Services in June 2025. Amber began her legal career as a Judicial Law Clerk with the Office of Administrative Hearings in Washington, DC. There, she clerked for various Administrative Law Judges in the Rental Housing and District of Columbia Public Schools Jurisdictions.
Amber received her J.D., Cum Laude, from the North Carolina Central University School of Law (24'). She is a licensed attorney in North Carolina and a member of the NC Bar Association. Amber has a passion for public interest law and has interned as a Law Clerk with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in compliance and consumer protection, and as an extern with the Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy in the consumer protection unit. During her time in law school Amber served as a Student Attorney with the NCCU School of Law Civil Litigation Clinic where she focused on eviction matters and community engagement.
Amber holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Political Science, with a double minor in Psychology and Women and Gender Studies. Throughout law school and undergrad, Amber has served in various student government roles and has spent much time serving the community through many volunteer and pro bono opportunities. Outside of her academic and legal advocacy, Amber enjoys yoga, reading, spending time with family and friends, and is a proud member of the Iota Rho chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
